07FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How does Liftera II work?

Liftera II is a lifting treatment that delivers high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) through a pen-type handpiece. It works on the same principle as Ultherapy, with ultrasonic thermal coagulation points inducing tissue contraction and collagen production. The pen shape allows precise treatment even of narrow, curved areas such as the jawline and around the eyes.

Who is Liftera II suited to?

We consider it for those concerned about sagging in narrow areas such as the jawline and around the eyes, and for those who want regular HIFU lifting maintenance with less of a burden. However, its energy specifications differ from Ultherapy, so it may have limits for severe sagging. It is not recommended if you have an implanted electronic medical device, have metal implants, infection, or wounds in the treatment area, or are pregnant.

Does Liftera II hurt?

Pain is low to moderate, and many people feel it is milder than Ultherapy. How much you feel differs by individual, and for those sensitive to pain, treatment proceeds after topical numbing cream.

How long does treatment take, and what is the recovery time?

The treatment takes about 20-40 minutes, and you can return to daily life right afterward. Temporary swelling or tingling may occur, and you can wash your face and wear makeup the same day.

When do results appear, and how long do they last?

Results appear gradually over several months as collagen forms, and change often becomes clearer at around 2-3 months. It is a treatment managed in cycles of several months, and how long results last varies by individual.

How often should I have Liftera II?

It is generally planned as a maintenance treatment every 3-6 months. The timing of the next treatment is decided by evaluating your progress rather than by a fixed schedule.

How is it different from Ultherapy?

Both are HIFU treatments, but the device specifications and delivery method differ. Ultherapy treats SMAS-layer sagging while checking the layers on an ultrasound screen, whereas Liftera II's pen-type handpiece has an advantage in detail work on narrow areas. Its relatively lower cost makes it well suited to maintenance.

Can I have it between Ultherapy treatments for maintenance?

Yes, it is used for those who need maintenance between Ultherapy treatments. However, repeating ultrasound energy at short intervals is not always beneficial, so we decide the timing and extent after checking the progress of the previous treatment.

Is it also combined with Oligio or Juvelook?

Yes, since they address different layers and goals, they are sometimes planned together. Where Liftera II reinforces sagging areas with ultrasound, Oligio addresses dermal firmness with radiofrequency, and Juvelook addresses collagen production in hollow areas. The combination and order are decided after consultation.

Is there anything to be careful about after treatment?

For a few days after treatment, avoid strong heat such as saunas, jjimjilbang (Korean bathhouses), and heavy drinking, and moisturize well. We recommend using sunscreen of SPF30 or higher daily while collagen regenerates. If swelling or tingling persists, please contact the clinic.

How much does Liftera II cost?

The cost depends on the number of shots and the area, so it is confirmed after consultation. Reference prices can be found on the price list on our website, and booking is available via Naver Booking, our KakaoTalk channel, or phone (+82-51-710-1891); consultations are also available via LINE.
