07FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How does Oligio work?

Oligio is a tightening treatment that delivers monopolar radiofrequency (RF) heat to the dermis to improve firmness. RF heat induces collagen contraction and new collagen formation, while a cooling system protects the epidermis during treatment. It is made by WONTECH (Korea) and is MFDS (Korean FDA) approved.

Who is Oligio suited to?

We consider it for those who want regular firmness treatments, those concerned about drooping and fine lines around the eyes, and those who want an easier way to start RF tightening. For severe sagging, a single treatment has limits, so we may recommend combining it with other treatments.

Are there cases where I should not have Oligio?

It is not recommended if you have an implanted electronic medical device such as a pacemaker, or metal implants in the treatment area. The same applies if there is an infection or wound in the treatment area, or if you are pregnant. If any of these apply, be sure to tell us at consultation.

Does Oligio hurt?

Pain is low to moderate, and how much you feel differs by individual. Treatment proceeds after topical numbing cream, and the cooling function works at the same time to ease the heat sensation.

How long does treatment take, and what is the recovery time?

The treatment takes about 30-50 minutes, and you can return to daily life right afterward. Temporary flushing or swelling may occur but mostly settles within a few hours, and you can wash your face and wear makeup the same day.

When do results appear, and how long do they last?

Results appear gradually over several months and last from several months to 1 year. Change often becomes clearer at around 2-3 months as collagen forms, and the degree varies by individual.

How many Oligio sessions do I need?

Rather than a fixed number, it is generally planned as a maintenance treatment every 6 months to 1 year. Depending on your skin condition, a booster session within 6 months of the first treatment is sometimes recommended.

How is it different from Thermage?

It works on the same monopolar RF principle, differing in device, tip configuration, and cost. Which device suits you depends on your goal and budget, so we compare them with you at consultation.

How is it different from XERF?

Both are RF devices, but the depth the energy reaches differs. Oligio is used for dermal tightening, while XERF delivers heat to deeper layers to reinforce support in lax tissue. Depending on the consultation findings, we choose one or combine the two devices.

Can it be done around the eyes?

Yes, eye-area firmness treatment is possible with a dedicated eye tip. We decide whether to apply it, and the extent, after checking the skin around your eyes.

Can I have it together with Ultherapy or Juvelook?

Yes, because their roles differ, they are sometimes planned together. Ultherapy addresses SMAS-layer sagging, Oligio dermal firmness, and Juvelook collagen production in hollow areas. Whether to do them on the same day or space them apart is decided after consultation.

What is the cost of Oligio, and how do I book?

The cost depends on the number of shots and the tip used, so it is confirmed after consultation, and reference prices can be found on the price list on our website. Booking is available via Naver Booking, our KakaoTalk channel, or phone (+82-51-710-1891), and consultations are also available via LINE. After treatment, avoid strong heat for a few days and apply sunscreen consistently.
