The IV Nutrient Drip is a treatment in which fluids and ingredients are administered by intravenous injection. Grays Dermatology assesses whether it is needed at consultation beforehand, and when it is, sets the ingredients and dose before administering it. We do not recommend the same drip to everyone.

We stock glutathione, thioctic acid, NAD+, and others. Each ingredient has a different purpose and precautions, so whether to use it, and the dose, are judged based on your medical history and examination. Explanations of each ingredient are given in detail at your visit.

We do not state that an infusion has any specific effect. The change people feel differs from person to person, and the range for which evidence has been confirmed also differs by ingredient. If you have a particular goal, let us know at consultation and we will judge together whether an infusion is appropriate or another approach is more suitable.

No, before an infusion we check whether it is needed and whether it is possible through your medical history and examination. If you have an underlying condition such as kidney disease, take medication, or are pregnant or breastfeeding, an infusion may be difficult or the ingredients may need adjusting. If it is judged unnecessary, we do not recommend it.

Be sure to tell us about any allergy history to medications or infusion ingredients, medications you take (such as diabetes medication or anticoagulants), underlying conditions such as kidney disease, and whether you are pregnant or breastfeeding. If you have had an adverse reaction to an infusion or injection before, please mention that as well. Based on this information, we decide whether to proceed and the ingredients and dose.

Once an IV line is in place, the infusion is given at a controlled rate while your condition is observed. The time required depends on the ingredients and dose and is advised at your visit. When the infusion is finished, bleeding at the injection site is stopped, and you go home after we confirm there are no abnormal symptoms.

There is a sting when the IV needle is inserted, and vascular pain or bruising at the injection site may occur during the infusion. Allergic reactions such as rash, itching, or breathing difficulty may rarely occur, so your condition is observed during the infusion. If you feel any uncomfortable symptoms during or after the infusion, please tell us right away.

After the infusion, your condition is checked and you go home if there are no problems, and you can usually go about daily life. Press on the injection site for a few minutes to stop bleeding, and do not rub it. If you have unexpected symptoms such as dizziness, palpitations, or rash after going home, please contact the clinic right away.

We do not set a fixed interval or number of infusions; whether one is needed is judged at each visit. The appropriate interval differs by ingredient and individual condition, so it is advised after consultation. If it is judged unnecessary, we do not recommend additional infusions.

Whether it can be done on the same day is judged after consultation, depending on the type of treatment and your condition that day.
