Body Botox temporarily reduces muscle bulk or sweat secretion, and change is limited when fat or swelling is the cause. The degree of effect and how long it lasts vary by individual.

How we approach it
The same device can be run very differently. This is how Grays approaches this treatment.
We perform trapezius, calf, and hyperhidrosis Botox.
Even for the same area, the degree of muscle development and the extent of sweating differ from person to person, so we identify the cause at consultation before setting injection points and dose.

02What to expect
Changes over time
In muscles, it reduces contraction signals to soften the bulk of developed muscles; for hyperhidrosis, it reduces the nerve signals that stimulate sweat secretion.
Right after treatment
Apart from injection marks there is no particular recovery period, so you can usually return to daily life the same day.
Early phase
The phase in which effects begin to appear. Timing varies by area, dose, and individual.
Checking change
For muscle areas, changes in bulk are checked; for hyperhidrosis, changes in sweat secretion. Results vary by individual.
Progress check
How long results last and the retreatment interval are decided after evaluating progress, with resistance prevention in mind.
Images are illustrative; actual course varies by individual.

Before & After
Clinical photos. Results vary with skin condition, age and treatment plan. Before-and-after photos are published with the patient's written consent, taken under identical conditions (lighting, angle) and never retouched. Results vary by individual.

07FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is Body Botox?
Body Botox is a treatment in which botulinum toxin is injected into muscles of the body rather than the face, or into areas that sweat excessively. Grays Dermatology performs trapezius, calf, and hyperhidrosis Botox. Injection points and dose differ by area and purpose, so they are designed after consultation.
Who is trapezius Botox considered for?
We consider it for those whose developed trapezius muscles make the neck look short or the shoulder line look thick. It works by reducing contraction signals to the enlarged muscle to soften its bulk. However, if posture or fat is the main cause, change may be limited, so we identify the cause at consultation beforehand.
When can calf Botox be expected to help?
We consider it when developed calf muscles are a concern for your leg line. On the other hand, if fat or swelling is the main cause, change is limited with Botox alone. We check the degree of muscle development while you stand on tiptoe or tense the muscle, then decide whether to proceed.
Is hyperhidrosis also treated with Botox?
Yes, Grays Dermatology performs hyperhidrosis Botox. It works by reducing the nerve signals that stimulate sweat secretion to ease excessive sweating. At consultation we check the extent of sweating and whether another condition or medication could be the cause before proceeding.
Which formulation do you use, and how is the dose decided?
The formulation and dose are decided after consultation, based on the area, the degree of muscle development or the extent of sweating, and your resistance history. Because body muscles cover larger areas, the dose needed may differ from the face. We explain the specific formulation and dose at your visit.
How painful is it, and how long does it take?
There is a stinging sensation from the needle, and how much you feel varies by area and individual. Treatment time depends on the area and injection coverage and is advised at your visit. Whether anesthesia is needed is also decided by area.
Will it affect exercise or daily life after treatment?
Apart from injection marks, you can usually return to daily life the same day, but avoid alcohol, saunas, and strenuous exercise on the day of treatment. There are reports that the treated muscle may temporarily feel weaker after injection. If you exercise a lot or your work depends on muscle strength, please tell us in advance at your visit.
When do results appear, and how long do they last?
When effects appear and how long they last depend on the area, dose, and individual, and are advised at your visit. In muscle areas, changes in bulk often appear gradually, while for hyperhidrosis, progress is checked by changes in sweat secretion. Effects are temporary, so repeat treatment is needed to maintain them.
Will I develop resistance with repeated treatment?
There are reports that repeating large doses frequently at short intervals can lead to neutralizing antibodies (resistance). Because body muscles can require larger doses, keeping to appropriate intervals and doses is important. The timing of retreatment is decided after consultation based on your progress.
Are there cases where I should not have Body Botox?
Be sure to tell us at your visit if you have a neuromuscular disorder such as myasthenia gravis, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. We also carefully assess whether to proceed if you take anticoagulants, have had a hypersensitivity reaction to the product's ingredients, or have inflammation at the injection site. If you notice any unexpected changes after treatment, please contact the clinic right away.
How much does it cost, and how do I book?
The cost depends on the area, formulation, and dose, and is confirmed after consultation. Reference prices can be found on the price list on our website. To book at Grays Dermatology in Haeundae, Busan, use Naver Booking, our KakaoTalk channel, or call +82-51-710-1891; consultations are also available via LINE.
